The European BELEM project webinars are focused on capacity building regarding new digital, legal, and technical trends, challenges, and new business opportunities for music publishers, providing a comprehensive set of models and pointing out platforms and solutions for European publishers to learn about publishing rights, lyrics rights, lyrics monetization, lyric aggregation, data entry, metadata, translations for meaning and internal organization of works, stakeholders in the sector, opportunities and challenges regarding lyrics, online and offline, as well as the main legal framework of publishing rights where it all fits.

David Serras is a Portuguese IP and Entertainment lawyer with over 12 years of experience in national and international copyright and collective management matters. He has worked in several PROs from different continents. He is also a Senior Associate at the Iberian law firm JGSA Abogados. David holds a Master’s degree in Law from the Portuguese Catholic University and several postgraduate degrees in intellectual property and collective management. David is also co-chair of the AFEM CMO working group.
