Health Benefits of Yoga

Yoga is a powerful tool that we can use to stay healthy. Many people working in the music business are often in the habit of sitting down for long periods of time and musicians are practicing their instruments hunched over a computer. This posture causes muscles to tighten up, which can lead to chronic pain in the back and neck. Yoga helps loosen these tight muscles, as well as increase strength and flexibility. A few minutes of yoga every day will help keep you healthy!

A lot of people think that they can’t do yoga because they’re too stiff or not flexible enough, that’s not true. It doesn’t matter if you are old or young, we all have the potential to reap the benefits of this ancient practice with persistence and patience. 

5. It’s never too late to start practicing yoga.

You can go to a beginners’ class without any prior experience. Classes for beginners are designed for those who want to learn how to do yoga but don’t know where they would start from! 

Your first class should prepare you for all other classes down the road and give you the confidence that if at any point your body is unable to perform a posture, the instructor will help adjust it. If you are taking your first yoga class and are lacking flexibility or strength, don’t worry! Yoga is all about how each individual practice can be adapted based on your needs.
